Draft: Date to be announced. Location is available from the commish. There will be 2 draft sessions on draft day, one for offense and one for defense. To begin, the offensive draft order will be determined by the prior years record. For the defensive draft, each team will be required to pick one number from a hat to determine the first 2 rounds. The remaining draft order, for both drafts, will be the snaked (i.e., Round 1 (1-12); Round 2 (12-1)). Every team is given 1 minute time limit in order to make their selection for the first half of each draft and the second half each team will be permitted 2 minutes to make a selection. All team will be given a 10 second warning to make their selection. If a selection is not made within the specified time limit, the next team will begin the selection process. After that selection is made, the previous team will be given a 30 second window in order to make their selection. The offensive draft can consist of 8 rounds but must have a minimum of 6 rounds. The defensive draft can consist of 8 rounds but must have a minimum of 6 rounds. One reason for the variation of draft rounds is to compensate for players who contracted players on both offense and defense. It's also for the owner to choose which players they want as their alternates. You must have a minimum of 10 offensive players and 6 defensive players. The other 2 players must be selected during the draft but the owner has an option to choose those players in either defensive or offensive drafts depending on strategy. If the owner opts to use their 2 alternate picks for defense, they can still pick up offensive players after the defensive draft is completed. Rosters: Team owners are permitted to have only 18 active players and 2 injured
reserve players at any time on their roster (see injured reserve section).
This is a partial dynasty league. By partial, it means that you can only
have 4 contract players on your roster at any one time. Each owner will
be given 3 three year contracts and 1 six year franchise contract that
they can offer to any player on their roster (contract are not tradable
media). Any owner that has available contract during any given season
must assign that contract by the trade deadline. The players that are
designated as contract players will be committed to that team for the
length of the contract. Once a players contract is up that player must
re-enter the draft the following year. Any player that is not under contract
after the end of any season will be returned to the draft pool for the
following year. If you trade a player that is under contract, the contract
is not traded with that player. If you drop/trade a player that is under
contract you loose that contract until after the season. Franchise contract is used for owners to build a team around one specific player. If you drop the franchise player at any time you will loose your franchise contract for that year. If a team’s franchise player retires, that team will be permitted to drop the player without penalty. Roster Changes: Teams can make any number of changes to their roster throughout the year. All roster changes can not be requested earlier than 6 AM on Tuesday mornings and 1 hour prior to the kickoff of any game for that week. Trades, waiver wire pickups and injured reserve activations are all considered roster changes. Trades will have to be confirmed with the commissioner by both parties involved. The commissioner reserves the right to veto any trade that may skew the balance of the league. The trade deadline is before kickoff of week 10 of the NFL season. Waiver wire pickups and injured reserve transactions can be maintained through the Super Bowl. Injured Reserve: Each team has 2 injured reserve slots on their roster. To place a player on injured reserve, the player must be on NFL.com’s official injury report as questionable or worse. If the player on injured reserve plays any time in that week’s game, the owner must activate that player back to their active roster or drop the player from their roster. If said player is back on the injury report for that week, the owner can again place him on IR however the same rule applies. If you have a player on injured reserve that is not on NFL.com’s injury report that owner will be forced to forfeit that week’s game. Line-Ups: Each week a lineup must be submitted by one hour prior to kickoff of any game. All lineups must be submitted via the internet (league website or email). There will be occasional exceptions for phone submissions due to technical difficulties and/or extraneous circumstances but all deadlines still apply. After the lineup submission deadline only one change can be made to your lineup, only in a case where a player is injured and of questionable status. This move must be requested before kickoff of the first game of the week. This will be a chargeable transaction move. If a team fails to submit a lineup for a week, the previous week’s lineup will be used. The lineups can be submitted in one of the following formats:
SCORING: Kicking: Field Goals 0-29yds = 2pts; 30-39 = 3pts; 40-49 = 4pts; 50+ = 5pts; X-tra Point Kicks = 1pt Defense: Tackle = .5pt; Sack = 4pts; Half-Sack = 2pts; Fumble Recovery = 2pts; Interception = 4pts; Safety = 6pts; Touchdown = 6pts Dual Role Players: If a player plays both way (offense and defense), they can only be drafted in the section of the draft that refers to their primary job. A two-way player can only record points for the side of the ball you started him on that week (for example, if you start Deon Sanders on defense and he scores an offensive touchdown, your team gets nothing). However, if you have a player that is a wide receiver and a kick or punt returner, you can benefit slightly. No team is allowed to use return yards for points, but if your player (no matter which side of the ball you start him on) scores a touchdown on special teams, you team will be awarded a 2 point bonus per touchdown. Scores are added using the supplied score sheets. Stats for scoring will be supplied by the leagues stat provider. Scores will be automatically posted on the Schedule & Scores page and a detailed view is available through the lineup submission pages on Tuesday afternoons. If there is any debate between opponents score for a week, the commissioner will add the score for that game. PLAYOFF FORMAT: | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
